
David is an accomplished trial and appellate attorney with over 20 years’ experience representing clients at all levels of the state and federal judiciary, from state justice courts to the United States Supreme Court.
David’s passion for the law, evident since childhood, has driven a career dedicated to mastering complex legal issues and crafting persuasive trial and appellate strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs.
David’s distinguished background includes clerkships with two esteemed jurists: Honorable Jan P. Patterson at the Third District Court of Appeals in Austin, Texas, and Honorable Wallace B. Jefferson, former Chief Justice of the Texas Supreme Court. These formative experiences provided David with invaluable insight into judicial decision-making, which he still leverages to advocate effectively for his clients in trial and on appeal.
Recognized nationally for both his legal acumen and ethical standards, David has maintained an AV-Preeminent rating (the highest distinction awarded) from Martindale-Hubbell for over two decades. He has also been consistently named a Texas Super Lawyer and honored among America’s Most Honored Professionals, ranking in the top 1% of all professionals nationwide.
David earned his law degree with honors from South Texas College of Law in Houston, where he served as its Law Review’s Managing Editor.
