R. Chris Roten joined Shamoun & Norman, LLP in 2021. His practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation.
Mr. Roten received his B.B.A. in Finance with a minor in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma in 2002. He received his J.D. in 2005 from the University of Oklahoma. In law school Mr. Roten was the recipient of the Department of Justice Externship Program and worked with the Office of Tribal Justice in Washington, DC.
Mr. Roten is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserves. Prior to joining the Reserves he was on Active Duty and deployed in support of four named operations and two named international training exercises as a Judge Advocate.
Prior to joining S&N, Mr. Roten practiced in the areas of real property litigation, corporate litigation and construction litigation. As a Judge Advocate he practiced criminal law, international law, environmental litigation and government administrative law.
Mr. Roten is a member of the State Bar of Texas, State Bar of New Mexico and licensed to practice in the Northern District of Texas, Southern District of Texas, Eastern District of Texas and the District of New Mexico. He is also a member of the Dallas Bar Association.
